Santa Monica, CA - With all of Southern California burning in flames, this morning began with an eerie atmosphere as the smoke from the Malibu fires travels over us. What we see is afternoon lighting from a morning sun.

Nimble and Quick

Santa Monica CA - With my car in the shop, I got a new 2008 Mini Cooper...as a loaner! Very fast, nimble--by far the smallest car I have driven since my old VW Rabbit back in high school. This go-kart style car has 6 airbags, a 4 cylinder 118HP 6-speed steptronic with paddle shifters, leather seating, panoramic sunroof and the smallest trunk I have ever seen. It runs on rails making it suuuuper fun to drive!

Feel the Power

Los Angeles CA - Westside Pavilion. The lunch gang takes a field trip to our favorite anime store : Power Anime!!! They have moved again into a larger space with more figures and statues to buy. Character Creation

Pasadena CA - Last night we paid a visit to the new Concept Design Academy run by Kevin Chen. Our old friend Charlie Wen held a Character Creation Workshop detailing his thought process in Visual Development. Scott Seeto was there as well--and seeing the both of them again reminds me of better days. It was a great chance to meet up with colleagues and friends, and to also get acquainted with many new artists that I have never met. It was a fantastic event and very inspiring to me as an artist to continue to work hard and grow. Thanks to Kevin Chen and all those at Concept Design Academy for holding a successful workshop!
